Counting Down the Days

The Holy Father is telling us "Your'a going to have a good'a time in my hometown!", and we believe it. Less than a week to go before we leave on Monday, April 16 for a fun-filled vacation that starts with 3 days in Rome. We follow this with a cruise on the Seabourn Legend down the coast to stops in Italy, France, and Spain, before closing it out with Monte Carlo.

Our dear friends, Mary Lee Hess and Ray Urban, our normal travel partners are, unfortunately, unable to go with us on this trip as ML has been under the weather since mid-January. Having been to China and Egypt with them, it is a real heartbreaker that we won't have their wonderful company with us on this trip. I"ll be sure to toast them anyway with a Jim Beam (or two). And, thankfully, we're talking about where we'll go next year together again, so looking forward to that.

So, if in the mood to live vicariously through us, join us daily beginning next Tuesday when we land in Rome. You'll get our musings on breathtaking sites (e.g., the Vatican, the Colisseum, and many more to come on the cruise) as well as some accompanying photos.
